My hubby once told me that, my mother-in-law used to make gobhi parathas with the leftover gobhi curry. I have never eaten or tried gobhi parathas before. I wanted to give it a try. When I made them for the first time and took a bite of the paratha, I was like omg they are so good!. Now gobhi parathas are my favourite after aloo parathas.
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup boiled cauliflower
1 tbsp gram flour (besan)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3/4 tsp salt
2-3 tbsp oil/ghee
1. Boil the cauliflower until it becomes tender. You can boil it in the microwave for 10 minutes. Mash the cauliflower and keep it aside.
2. Mix together wheat flour, mashed cauliflower, besan, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, coriander leaves, salt and combine well. Add water little at a time and mix it, now add 2 tbsp oil and make a smooth dough. Cover it and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
3. Take the dough and make equal sized balls and roll the balls into round shaped chapati with a rolling pin by dusting little flour.
4.Heat a tawa and place the chapati on it and cook for a minute, flip it and apply oil or ghee, the lower side should be cooked then flip again apply ghee and cook it well.
5. Serve the parathas with pickle or curd
